My name is Daisy and I'm an awesome Hemingway cat (like all the cool polydactyl cats who lived on Ernest Hemingway's island home). I was rescued a few months ago after a rough life on the streets for years. Nobody knows for sure how old am, but I've been around the block, if you know what I mean. I was pretty much skin & bones by the time I was rescued one afternoon right before one of Houston's big rainstorms. It's tough out there for cats and we don't like water, much less floods! The nice ladies at K-9 Rescue got me all fixed up! The vet gave me the once over and got me all caught up on my shots, etc. A few of my teeth were removed, which made it so much easier to eat and I started gaining my weight back. Whoever said 'you can never be too thin' obviously hadn't seen me! My foster home has two cat residents who haven't exactly been welcoming, but I never start any trouble with them. I'm not aggressive one bit so I can't figure out what their problem is. Anyway, I'd really like my own furever home. I'll give you lots of love and be a good companion. Promise! One last item - I assume you noticed in my photos that I'm just a little different looking. My pink nose is actually a scar, but I think it gives me a quite unique look. The vet said it looks like a chemical burn, so the hair will not grow back. I know it looks like I'm scowling about it but believe me I am the sweetest grumpy-looking cat you'll find. (3 Where's my bighearted new pal out there who I can live with? Is it you? Daisy is a Female Polydactyl Mix that we estimate to be around 10-12 years old and weighs 6 lbs 6 oz.
