About URGENT - DJANGO

A5297593 Django is a 4-year-old lovely brown-brindle neutered male German Shepherd and Mastiff mix who came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center as an owner surrender on July 4th because they did not have the time to spend with him. Weighing 85 lbs, this is one gorgeous big boy! Django is terrific on leash and takes direction quite well. Since he is the perfect age - not a puppy, but perfectly athletic - he will need an active home to keep him occupied and healthy. Django is going to be the perfect hiking and walking buddy! He's a total sweetheart - one volunteer described him as a loving big baby. He does, however, spook easily, so whoever takes him home will have to go slowly with him until he feels safe and comfortable. They will also need to go slowly introducing him to any dogs in the household, since he is a little nervous around dominant dogs right now. He'll do best in a household with dogs that do not try to mount him or dominate him. He has a medium level of energy as well. This loving guy is going to be a terrific indoor companion for any type of household- individual or family. He's really just a perfect dog to handle and love.
