About Ullr

German Shepherd
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Update Sept 1, 2019 - If you are interested in Ullr, please contact Mrs.Shawn Burton at (281) 744-9355 right away. Although Ullr is currently in training, it is hoped that his forever home will be waiting for him when his training is finished in early September. Ullr is doing well, and he will be ready to go to his new home on Wednesday, September 11th. Ullr is a 3 year old long haired German Shepherd with one floppy ear. He is not AKC registered. He has been a predominantly inside pet. He's lived most of his life with other dogs and has been hit or miss with new dogs. All dogs he has met have been over 50 lbs. He is a very loving companion, and he loves snuggles and hugs from those he is comfortable with. Ullr is very protective of his family and will react to individuals and other animals that he is unfamiliar with. However when he is away, i.e. at the vet, he relaxes and is much easier to approach and handle. Ullr has been through obedience training and seen a behaviorist. He is incredibly smart, even by GSD standards, which will lend well to any job that he might take on. Ullr was diagnosed as having low self esteem and reactivism. He needs to have lots of activity and exposure with the correct human input to overcome his fear. He is responsive to commands and takes to training very well. Update 8/11/19 - Ullr is going back to school! He is beginning a 4 week intensive training course which is expected to help Ullr to overcome his fears and reactivism.
