About Milo

Hi there, my name is Milo... but I have A LOT of nicknames. I'm 'Mellow Milo', 'Mister Milkbone', and 'Happy Feet', to name a few. You can call me whatever you want though, I'll love you either way. I was found in Anaheim as a stray in February of 2019. The nice person that found me took me to OC Animal Care. No one ever came to claim me, but thankfully the folks at OCAC were super nice! I made SO MANY friends there! In fact, they tell me I was the volunteer favorite. Figure it must be true because I always had friends stopping by to give me some love and my favorite snack, MILKBONES!!! The kennel I was staying in had cold, hard floors which made my arthritis act up which made my legs hurt. The doctors gave me medicine that helped a little but what I really needed was exercise and a big soft bed to lay on at night. My volunteer friends tried to help by taking me out for walks as much as they could. Whenever they came to take me out (even if I was sore) I would do my 'happy dance' for them. It always made them smile, and that made me happy. In June of 2019 the doctors at the shelter didn't think my legs were improving so they put me on the scary list. As soon as my friends found out they hopped on those little gadgets they use to take cute photos of me and tried to find a home for me before it was too late. The shelter was full, so there wasn't much time. I started to worry. Then, one of my most favorite volunteer friends (now my foster dad), and the nice folks at K9 Kismet Dog Rescue got together and rescued me! Nothin' but 'happy feet' dancin' for this guy from here on out! Now I get to have fun with my foster dad every day! We go out for walks, hangout at a place my dad calls 'work', and shop at cool stores where all the people seem to love dogs. The best part is I get to make new friends everywhere we go, after all- strangers are just people that haven't had the chance to rub my belly yet. But my FAVORITE thing to do is make my human friends happy, they can dress me up in clothes, take me for rides in the car, or just pet and hug me whenever they're feeling down. I'm pretty easy to please��%BD'��%BD| if my people are happy, I'm happy. Oh yea, my foster dad says I should also mention that I'm housebroken, and very quiet (unless I'm snoring). I would love to find nice family to call my own. It would be swell if they had lots of friends or would be willing to take me places where we can meet new people because I LOVE people! Even the little ones! So if you're looking for a new FUR-EVER family member I say, pick me! I'll do my 'happy dance' for you, I promise you won't be disappointed.
