About Lexie

Shih Tzu / Lhasa Apso
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

**PLEASE READ THE REQUIREMENTS THOROUGHLY TO ADOPT LEXIE BEFORE INQUIRING** Meet Lexie, our beautiful 4 year 17lb Shih Tzu/ Lhasa Apso mix. Lexie came to us when she was found wandering the streets lost and alone. Lexie was matted and so dirty that when we gave her a bath, the water was completely the color of mud. We had her checked but she did not have a microchip and we could not locate her owners after several weeks of trying. She obviously was out on the streets for some time or lived her whole life as a backyard dog. Our vet examined her and saw that she had two hernias, was not spayed, and had a severe yeast infection all over her body. We had her surgery done and she recovered quickly and bounced back in no time. She is a happy, bouncy, and VERY playful girl, so she MUST have another young playful dog in the home. She CANNOT be an only dog, so please don't ask. Lexie is a bit of a tomboy and can play quite rough at times so she needs a buddy who will be ok with that. Since she is so active we would like her in a home with an active family that has a yard for her to run around in. She is getting the hang of her potty training but does not like to go out when it rains. We don't think that Lexi had a lot of love and attention in her life so we want her in a home that will show her how special she is because she really does deserve a forever home. Lexie is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccines. WE ONLY ADOPT OUT IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AS A HOME CHECK AND TRIAL PERIOD ARE REQUIRED.
