About Baxter

Baxter wants to be your new best friend! He is a sweet natured cuddler who has been in foster care longer than any other Pack 9 dog. Baxter is about 1 year and 24 lbs. His ears and petite structure say long legged Chihuahua mix, but does not have the yippie qualities. He loves playing with his canine sisters and giving lots and lots of love to humans big and small. Everyone who has met him thinks he's wonderful, but he wants to meet you! He is house and crate trained, and a gem on a leash. Baxter is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and neutered. He is fostered in Duncannon PA (near Harrisburg). We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $300 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $350 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate.
