About Drago

This poor dog is Drago. Just look at him. Right above those gorgeous icy blue eyes, are two very torn up ears. According to his owner, his ears are that way because he had just gotten into a fight with a dog at home. They may have started as bite wounds, but they became fly strike. This means that Drago was left outside for SO LONG that flies started biting and eating away at his ears. They fed and fed on his blood, and no one did a thing to help him. Although Drago is only 6 years old, he seems like an older dog due to a lifetime of poor care. He is such a sweet and gentle dog. I took him for a quick little walk this weekend. At first he was hesitant to come near me with a leash, but I made my loop bigger and showed him I wouldn't let the leash touch his raw ears. I can only imagine how much they hurt. As I walked him, I gently touched his head, right between the ears, to show him what it's like to be pet. Once he realized I'm not going to hurt his ears, he relaxed and enjoyed his walk very much. He loves treats, and loves human kindness. Do you have some human kindness to spare for this poor guy? I don't think he has experienced it before. Please show him good people DO in fact exist. He hasn't met them yet.
