Today Henry was been living with 3 other rescued GSD and is loving life. He is a well behaved and loving boy looking for a home to relax as he heads into his golden years! Please consider this sweet boy, he would do well with an adopter familiar with having and enjoying an older dog companion! from HENRY's Foster: Henry is a 75 lbs, approximately 6 year old, long haired German Shepherd. He is great with people of all kinds and has a kind, playful attitude. In spite of his arthritis, Henry is always trying to play tug and will constantly bring you his toys to play with. However, his arthritis does stop him from trying to play with other dogs since he is unable to run with any level of stability. On average he eats 3 1/2 cups of dog food a day, but different brands might call for a bit more, or less. He is crate trained, house broken and able to sit, come, stay and down. He is also well mannered on leash, but with his condition, walks are probably more than he can handle. All of these behaviors will need to be reinforced in his forever home in order to maintain his training in a new environment. *Home check, application, fee and photo updates required.
