About Tripp the purr boy

Adoption Fee: $100
Domestic Cat
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Howdy! My name is Tripp, and I'm a sweet, easy-going, loving, and playful brown tabby DSH fella with adorable tummy spots and gigantic, innocent amber eyes who was born in late May 2019. I'm an affectionate guy who loves people and to cuddle and sit in their laps, where I purr as loudly as I can to show how much I love being petted. (I'll even purr when I'm not being touched!) I'm a Marco Polo, of sorts, as I love to explore! I enjoy interactive string toys as well as batting around catnip mice. In my quieter moments, I get a kick out of observing the activity outside windows -- birds, lizards, squirrels. And I have perfect scratching post manners. I was just a tyke when I showed up as an orphan outside a nice lady's Louisiana townhouse; Hurricane Barry was on the way, so she knew she needed to get me indoors quickly and bring me to her mom, who works with Buster's Friends in Houston. Well, I got my name Tripp because I was so tiny that I didn't TRIP the plate when I went inside the trap that she set for me. And then I had to make the TRIP to Houston! Because I was all alone, I was a little shy at first, but I soon settled in because I could easily tell that I could trust my rescuer as well as my new foster mom. I get along with other cats and the little dog in my foster home. Also, I'm so crazy about the Great Pyrenees who comes to visit that I rush to the front door to greet her! I'm uncomfortable with lots of noise or movement, so I'd probably do best in a home with older, quiet, well-behaved children. I like it here, but I realize that it will be even better if I have a forever home of my own. I hope you'll arrange to meet me so I can crawl up in your lap and let you guess the decibels on my purr motor. Tripp is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for his indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted. His adoption fee is $100, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Tripp, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet him.
