About Akari

Akari is a very calm, but shy dog. I got her as a stray from a shelter in Virginia when she was about 6 months old. She will warm up to you, but will likely be very skiddish at first. She loves kids! With adults, she does best with females, as it takes her quite a while to warm up to males. She has never been aggressive, just very shy. I'm needing to rehome her due to jealously (non-agressive) issues with a new baby in the home. She will do best with someone who can give her more attention. Akari loves to be lazy and cuddle! She is completely housebroken. She gets along great with other animals (cats and dogs)! I'll only rehome her to someone who can understand and be patient with her while she is warming up to her new environment. I would like for the adoption fee to be donated, but I will be open to a free adoption to the right person!
