About Pongo (west)

Hi, my name is PONGO - ID#A4280689. I am a neutered male, blue and white American Pit Bull Terrier. The shelter staff think I am about 5 years old, and I have been at the shelter since Jun 27, 2019. Pongo is going on e-list today. He is dog friendly, and sweet and gentle. Pongo has lesions on his head and some on the body that have been increasing in numbers and size. They could be cutaneous lymphoma or other neoplasia, but will need further diagnostics to diagnose. He will need to have these checked with an your family vet. As of 7/20/2019, there are no new lesion sites on head/ trunk/ limbs; all current lesions are much less erythematous, flat, and covered by scabs. Continuing treatment with ketoconazole as previously prescribed. Obviously, these lesions are treatable, but the shelter does not have to ability to totally diagnose specific issue. Pongo has been out playing with other dogs, and has participated in Speed Dating for dogs. He is always social and friendly. This sweet guy would make a wonderful family companion given the chance.
