OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. Are you looking for total cuteness with spunk? My name is Lulu and I'm your gal! My foster mom has fallen in love with me. In just a couple of weeks, I have adjusted to having a wonderful foster home filled with love and companionship. I am a very happy-go-lucky girl (just look at my smile)! I am very spunky and I love to run-and I run fast! I love to play chase and wrestle with my 90 lb. German Shepherd brother. There are also cats that live in my foster home and it took me awhile to figure out that they are not playful with me. For the most part, I leave them alone-plus one of them is bigger than me-so I don't mess with him. My foster mom tells me I am so smart, very smart in fact. I am a puppy, so I am learning 'sit' - 'stay' - 'no' - 'leave it' - 'outside,' 'down' and 'settle.' I have only had a couple of accidents in the house (my foster mom was not paying attention to me), but I have learned to go outside to do my business, and my foster mom lets me out quickly when I have been crated for a long time so that I do not go inside the house. I do not potty in my crate and I sleep peacefully in my crate at night near my mom's bed. I very much crave human companionship and I want to be near my foster mom at all times, but I am also learning to seek attention from my foster brother as I get more comfortable. I still whine when my foster mom places me in my crate while she is at work, but I am getting much better about the routine. I usually follow my foster brother outside, but I hesitate if my foster mom will not go outside with me. I am learning to be more independent though. And, I love to give puppy kisses in exchange for belly rubs once I settle down. I would love to meet you soon-I make my debut at K-9 Angels on July 27th! Lulu is a female Terrier mix who was born around 4/13/19 and weighs currently 10 lbs. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
