About Ruby

Ruby is a gorgeous and lovable 3-year old female, looking for her new family. This sweet girl was picked up as a stray, in the middle of the winter, and taken to AC in Chicago. Ruby was microchipped, and her previous owner was contacted, but for whatever reason, they never came to pick her up. We were contacted about Ruby's situation, and one of our awesome volunteers got her out of the shelter, and held her until we could arrange a foster home. She has been coexisting well with all of her foster family's pets, which include a male German Shepherd, a male DDB, and a cat! she also did great with a small dog test, whenshe was previously in the shelter. Here are a few things Ruby's foster mom has said about Ruby: ' You have to love a foster dog who already knows the command 'drop the shoe'. She comes when she is called, let's you know when she needs to go outside and gets along well with other dogs and cat. She loves car rides and is very well behaved, just chillin' in the back seat looking out the window' ��%BD��%BD��%BD��%BD Ruby loves everyone she meets, and she is the star of the show in public. She has obviously been through a lot in her short life and is sensitive to loud noises or perceived anger, but she continues to love and trust her humans whole-heartedly, and she absolutely LOVES getting affection! Ruby is currently located in St. Louis, MO, and transport to an approved home may be available. In order to be approved for Ruby, you must: ��%BD��%BD��%BD Have previous guardian breed experience. ��%BD��%BD��%BD Have no current large female bully breed dogs living in the home. (This is due to the high tendency of same sex-aggression in this breed.) ��%BD��%BD��%BD Have no children under 10-years old living in the home (This is our standard policy, due to liability and insurance purposes.)
