About Shorty

Shorty is a 7 year old, 12 pound Chihuahua and Pomeranian mix. He is a friendly guy and loves everyone. Shorty does well with the other dogs in his foster home. He is house trained, has good house manners, and walks nicely on a leash. Shorty is a calm guy and would not enjoy a home with young children. Shorty's foster parents say he is the easiest dog they have ever had, he fit right in easily. Shorty came into rescue as an owner surrender. His mom can no longer care for him and has to stay in the nursing home. Like many tiny dogs, Shorty has a luxating patella - his right kneecap moves around. Because of this Shorty does not enjoy stairs and would like a home that has few of them. Shorty is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped.
