About Charlie, Mr Congenial

Howdy to you! My name is Charlie, and I'm an outgoing, friendly, easy-going, playful ruddy tabby DSH dude with gigantic saucer eyes who was born in September 2016. I adore people, so I'm a great companion who likes to position myself closely to my human in hopes of being petted. (Spoiler alert: like a lot of kitties, I don't like to be picked up and held.) I do great with the other friendly cats in my foster home, and, although it took me awhile, I'm now fine with the little resident dog. There are no kids in my foster home, but my foster meowmy thinks I'd do fine with children. However, I'm no couch potato! I love to play with my catnip toys as well as balls with bells, scramble up the cat tree, and enthusiastically dig into my scratching post. (I have perfect scratching manners.) All in all, I'm a very well-adjusted dude with the exception that I'm afraid of loud noises. (For Pete's sake, aren't most cats?) Don't be fooled that I'm anything close to being feral because of my tipped left ear. No sirree! That happened because I was rounded up with a lot of other cats who'd been abandoned by our owners after they moved out of a ghetto apartment complex. Would you believe that someone was poisoning us community cats? So a Good Samaritan got me neutered but decided that I was too friendly to be left outside. Particularly since I was in danger of being poisoned, she contacted Buster's Friends to place me safely inside my foster home until I can be adopted. I'm such a great all-round boy that I hope you'll arrange to meet me soon! I promise to snuggle up to you so that you have no choice but to pet me! Charlie is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for his indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted.
