Gentle, soft, sweet, and caring, the darling Azalea has delivered and raised her puppies and is ready to find her very own loving home. Azalea is a five-year-old Black and Tan Coonhound mix with a heart of gold and so much to offer. She is a great friend to kids, cats, and dogs (she will not hesitate to chase a squirrel off of her lawn), but her most favorite companion is probably the couch. Azalea is mostly house trained and likes to stick to low energy sports like power eating, competitive sleeping, high intensity interval stretching, and long-distance yawning. Seriously though, this girl loves to eat and has been quoted saying, 'Breakfast, lunch, and dinner's for beginners, you don't even know.' We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, VA (821 Town Center Drive Waynesboro, VA 22980) every Saturday. A $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
