About Zaika

Our sweet little girl was saved from euthanasia, with less than 24 hours left, she is fortunate to be alive! She was a grieving mama, who lost all of her babies. We first saw her cowering on a cold floor of the kill shelter, clearly prepared to die, the sign simply said: 'scared.' Totally heartbreaking. Today, Zaika is healthy, spayed, and up to date on all vaccines. She has been living in a foster family with a few other dogs. He foster Mom says she is a sweetheart, who loves to initiate play with the whole pack. Someone who knows rescues would be ideal for Zaika: she is shy when she first meets you, and may take some time to get comfortable and to show her true personality: she may act scared, and will probably grieve her foster family. Once she knows you, she is extremely affectionate and sweet (very attached and interactive with her foster family). She has never shown any kind of aggression toward anyone. Zaika is estimated to be around 14 months old. She is house trained and walks well on leash. She will do best with another doggie companion, but can also be your only dog. She will make the most loving, loyal companion and an amazing friend.
