Frankly my dear, I don't give a darn, I just want to find my forever family! Hi, I'm the sweet and playful southern belle, Miss Scarlett. When I found my way to my foster mom, I was pregnant and just about to pop! Since then, I've had four beautiful babies who are close to finding their homes and I've got my dainty little paws crossed that I'll find mine soon, too. I am a two-year-old Pit Bull mix and I weigh around 45 pounds. I am house trained and crate trained, so we can skip the boring stuff and get to couch snuggles once we've warmed up. Speaking of warming up, I can be a little timid around new people at first, especially men, so I'm hoping to find a home where I can adjust slowly and learn to trust my people. Once we're buddies, I am very playful, goofy, and affectionate. Now, I am a little unsure of other dogs and tend to have mixed feelings, so you'll have to talk to my foster mom if you have a doggo already. Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, VA (821 Town Center Drive Waynesboro, VA 22980) every Saturday. A $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
