About Braxton

Australian Terrier / Yorkie
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Handsome Braxton came to us from the rural life where he spent 100% of his time outdoors and his neighbor spent more time with him than his own family. Once his family decided he would be better off with a different family his nice neighbor brought him to us to help find him a home where he can actually be part of the pack. He's been with us just under a week and boy has he decided that being inside with his people is the life! Braxton loves to come in and hang out with whoever wants to hang with him, adult or child. He likes other dogs too, but having just been neutered he likes to think he's the top dog and that could be a bit offputting to other dogs for just a bit. That shouldn't last long now that he's been fixed. Braxton is a love and spent quite a bit of time with kids and dogs when his nice neighbor had him out. He would love a life where he gets to go on adventures but actually with his people. He has adjusted to sleeping in a crate and does wonderfully on a leash. He will even spin around with excitement when he knows a walk is coming. If you think you are the home Braxton has been looking for and deserves please read on or go directly to the Adoption Process page of our website, throwmeabonedogrescue.org. All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. The application can be completed and submitted from our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - the link is found of the Adoption Process page. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live. Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed if necessary, de-flea'd (with topical treatment if old enough, and by medicated bath if too young), spayed/neutered, microchipped, is up to date on shots, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a lead and collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
