About Elegant Mr Edmund

Well there, lovely hoomans, I'm called Edmund saying I'm the perfectly ELEGANT GENTLEMANbecause my tuxedo coat has me all dressed up for the theater, night on the town, or simply stylishly dressed for spending a nice evening at home! Don't be fooled by my coloring for there is clearly a comical little IMP running loose in my soul! (We are all what we think, right? Thought to reality you know !) I'm an 8 year YOUNG American Staffordfshire Terrier mix who's just a happy kinda guy that's never met a stranger on two OR four legs ! Hey folks, life is GOOD these days and that's something I truly appreciate! Do you believe in love at first sight, souls destined to meet, miracles? Well I do ~ it's exactly how I felt when I landed here in rescue! Everyone seems to be impressed with my manners and gentle demeanor but I truly enjoy all my friends at our multi dog indoor foster home and am super nice to everyone I meet! I absolutely ADORE children, get along GREAT with other dogs AND cats and I love to please my people. My foster Mom (Mare herself) treats me real special, saying I'm so smart, such a good guy and one of the best snooglers she's ever met! I'd do anything she asks for all those extra hugs and kisses ~ I just looooooove to cuddle!!! I've heard that laps are for sissies though so I'll put my head on your leg or lean into your arms for a big hug, and it's really cool to just lay at your feet and entertain myself with one of my favorite bones. I do make sure to announce the arrival of any strangers but I'm especially good with people! I've also mastered 'sit', 'wait' and 'load up' commands plus I'm completely house, crate, car and even leash trained ~ putting my head through the loop and walking nicely on lead to go out for another adventure! Mare even lets me rest in a nice bed without a crate, she trusts me a lot 'cause I've never had an accident. She calls me her special 'breed ambassador', guess that means I'm good boy! I'd really like to live the 'quieter' family lifestyle (older and/or calm children) with a special person(s) of my very own, humans who'll love me, teach me new things and maybe even take me out places where I can show off my talents ~ I promise to shower YOU with love and a life time of devotion in return!
