Meet DiscoverMe Dog 'BADGER' | URGENT FOSTER/ADOPTER NEEDED - RETURNS TO SHELTER ON 7/20 | EMAIL: [email protected] --- Badger is part of our DiscoverMe Project 2-week temp fostering program in partnership with the OC Shelter. He will return to the shelter around July 20 unless an adopter or foster is found. BADGER is the handsome terrier in the tuxedo threads with the engaging smile =D This happy chap wasn't so happy either when he found himself at the shelter in early June. Barky in his kennel, he seemed like an old grump but now that we've had him in a temp foster home for a bit, we actually don't even think he's that old - and he sure ain't a grump! Lil Badge isn't a badger at all. His foster mom calls him Mr. Wonderful and says he's a fabulous, bright-eyed, handsome, sturdy and fit little buddy! He dances and wriggles with a really happy face when it's time for a walk or during meal prep. So cute lol! He doesn't bark even when people come to the door, and he minds really well and gets more playful and cuddly by the hour. True to his terrier heritage, lil Badge is a fast learner and smart as a whip. He's been really respectful of the other little dog in the home - what a gentledog!! Mr. Wonderful would likely do great in a quiet home with older children if any (high school+). Other dogs would be nice but not required. We think he'd really enjoy a private yard of his own and grass to roll and lounge on. He's listed as 5 years and 22 lbs but we think he's lost a couple inches and seems more like a 3 year old youngster approaching maturity. We know Badger will excel with leadership and boundaries from his people, and daily exercise and mental stimulation to fulfill that smart terrier brain. He's very outgoing in public and happy to meet new people and make friends. Not quite the grump he seemed at the shelter! We love Mr. Wonderful!!! Badger is available for a $150 adoption fee, and his bags are packed to move right into your life and lap. Can't make a lifetime commitment but want to help Badge so he doesn't have to return to the shelter? We'd be happy to make this sweet boy an official part of our rescue with a foster family in SoCal who will care for him until we find his perfect match. The rescue provides everything needed to care for our pups.
