Meet DiscoverMe Dog 'CLINT' | URGENT FOSTER/ADOPTER NEEDED - RETURNS TO SHELTER ON 7/22 | EMAIL: [email protected] --- Clint is part of our DiscoverMe Project 2-week temp fostering program in partnership with the OC Shelter. He will return to the shelter around July 22 unless an adopter or foster is found.* CLINT is the most gentle senior pit bull boy and we simply love this dog so much. He's a kind and sweet soul who's clearly had a horrible life, and we want more than anything to give him the best future possible. We're looking for a compassionate adopter or a foster family who will love Clint as we do. He has some medical stuff that would need to be checked out by a private vet. Wagging Dog Rescue will offer a medical stipend to any public adopter who will commit to Clint's future health and wellbeing. Sweetest Clint arrived at the shelter 4 months ago, in utterly horrible shape. He had worn and broken teeth and his skin was a serious mess. His ears were full of crud and show signs of long neglect, just like the rest of his 9 year old body. He was missing a lot of fur, with crusty scabs, inflammation, multiple masses and a rather pungent odor. The shelter has done wonders for this poor boy and we've been continuing his medical care while in temp foster. It's not easy to treat skin conditions in a shelter environment - he really should be in a home. We won't know the extent of Clint's needs until he sees a private vet for a thorough exam and diagnostics. We believe he'll likely need a surgical procedure to remove several masses and large skin tags, and his grill needs a good cleaning with extractions. We know it's a lot to ask of someone to adopt a 67 lb. senior dog who needs help to get healthy again. If you have room in your heart and home but just can't make the full commitment, please consider fostering Clint while we fix him up and look for a forever fam of his own.
