About Lola

Lola is a beautiful golden brindle pitbull mix with golden eyes. She is approximately 12 to 18 months old. I rescued her out of a bad backyard situation. She was living in very cold conditions in the winter time with no shelter and frozen water. In the summer time, many times she was locked inside a shed with no windows or light while the kids played in the backyard. At one point, I had to call Animal control to get her off a chain that she was tied to in cold weather with no shelter. Through all of this she would always lovingly come to me and visit with me over the fence until I could finally buy her from the family. She was not aggressive to the kids which is what is so astounding. She seemed to get along with all four kids and the adults, but they never paid any attention to her and left her in bad conditions. Since I have had her I have had her spayed, given her all vaccinations, had her heart worm tested and she is negative. I cannot keep her because I have three other rescues and another pit bull mix that is unaccepting and one with Addison's disease who cannot be upset by new situations. She is currently staying with a good friend of mine who is fostering her, however my friend is beginning to have health issues and it is urgent that we find Lola a home. My friend has taught her to use the doggie door, and to fetch. She has also told her the word wait so that Lola knows to wait for snacks and food. She has also taught her the word off so that she will not jump on people. She is very smart and loving and has high energy for a while. But if you play fetch with her or let her run, she will come and lay down under your feet or sit in your lap on the floor. My dream for her is that she find a family who will take her walking and on trips because she loves to ride in the car. Please help me find her a home because my foster needs to pursue her medical conditions and get answers. Thank you and God bless.
