About URGENT - MAUDE

A5290613 Maude is a darling 8-year-old black and white spayed female Dachshund who came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center as a stray on June 16th. Weighing 18 lbs, Maude is a precious girl. She has a wonderfully sweet temperament and is great with small dogs - she has four kennel mates! She's attentive to her handler and curious about what is going on. Maude is polite, well-mannered and listens to her handler. She just loves to walk around on a leash and is nice and calm, and has so much love for life. This girl is a confident, go-anywhere kind of dog. She's a bit overweight, so you'll want to take her on nice short walks and feed her properly to help get her fit again. Maude also wants to be a lap dog - so you get it all with her! She'll go for a lovely short walk with you and then be a happy camper sitting in your lap afterward. She'll need to be in a house with adults and older children only. She's a little shy at first, but boy does she warm up once you spend a little time with her. This super sweet girl really needs a spa day! Because she is overweight and her teeth haven't been cared for, she'll also need her adopter to sign a waiver and be sure to take her to an outside vet once you have her for a good check up. Maude is your perfect companion! And she is has been waiting patiently for more than a month for her forever family - so come on down and adopt her quick and give her that loving indoor home she so richly deserves.
