About Meadow

Lab mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Guys my heart is breaking. Meadow was seized as part of a cruelty case. She loves dogs but is is terrified of people. She has never known kindness but even with all that she has never responded with aggression. She is on the euthanasia list for this Friday, 7/20. :( Is there anyone that might be able to save her? And if not, could you please help me share her story. I'm praying this little girl gets a chance. She is a white/black lab mix and she is just 1 year old. Recent Evaluation below. ----- Evaluation Kindly sponsored by Sabine Johnson #A214556 NAME: MEADOW FEMALE 1 YR LABRADOR RETR \ MIX, White/Blk INTAKE DATE: 5/2/19 Meadow was seized as part of a cruelty case. She and others that were seized have had very little socialization and are fearful. Fearful and sunk head afraid to make eye contact. She trembled with fear at first and kept her distance. She took treats from the floor only at first. After 15 minutes she then approached and took treats within about a foot of me. She was not aggressive at any time. She was introduced to both a male and female human with pretty much the same outcome although she seemed a little responsive to the female voice. She is been kenneled with another dog and has no aggression towards other dogs. Shelter notes state she is basically a feral dog but she does accept treats from them, which a feral dog would not. She is undoubtedly fearful and under-socialized with humans and has likely never seen a leash in her life. Her life can change if given the opportunity and time. She needs a rescue/foster with a secure environment and an attentive, patient, nurturing person or socialization team willing to work with Meadow on her terms to build trust and confidence. The shelter is not the place for her to be able to cope with her fears. NOTE: Meadow has NOT even been listed by the shelter on Pet Harbor so she definitely needs out
