About Fernie (West)

Hi, I am Fernie. I have been at the shelter since 6/28/19 and my ID # is A4280783. I am only about 2 years old, A family found me, let me stay with them for a day and then brought me to the shelter in hopes I would find my family. The family who found me said I did well with their 11-year-old child and 15-month-old baby. While they had me they took me for a walk and said that I was non-reactive towards other dogs. They said they found me with a makeshift wrap on my paw, a collar, and leash. No one came for me and I find myself at risk of euthanasia due to my medical needs. They just don't have the resources to help me. I have masses on my body that need to be diagnosed that could be mast cells tumors but they haven't been tested or diagnosed. So I would need to be taken to the vet for diagnosis and a treatment plan. I really would love a home where I am loved and taken care of. I have lots more memories to make with a new family. I hope I get to make them soon. I did well in my dog evaluation. Here is what they said about me: 'Entered yard neutral. Allowed greetings, and engaged in light play. She gave corrections when dogs were too invasive. ' If you have other dogs please bring them in to meet me. If you have kids I would love to meet them too. The shelter staff thinks I am a 2-year-old fawn/white American pit bull terrier. While here at the shelter I have been spayed, microchipped and they stitched up my paw.
