About Bear

Hi my name is Bear! I'm a sweet, young, high energy German Shepherd. I'm healthy, neutered, up to date on all my shots, crate-trained, and housebroken. I am a big boy weighing in around 85-90 pounds. I hate to brag, but I'm really good at heart and quite regal in appearance. At the same time, I'm a big goof ball and love to get my love on. I'd be a loyal companion for walking, hiking, or running as well as your biggest protector. I also like any plush toy, but because I am big and strong I need tough toys to last. My ideal family would include a woman and someone very experienced with GSDs. As a handsome ladies' man I do better with strong females because I'm reluctant around men. I need a patient pack leader to work on my socialization with people and my nervous reactivity. I would also love a big yard to run and play. Also on my wish list is a balanced female fur-kid to show me that life is OK and that there's no reason to be on alert all the time. I'm a city boy living in Dorchester, MA, but would do much better in a quieter area with less commotion happening around me. I am very smart and eager to please. I've attended a board & train center and learned several skills. I need someone to practice cues and continue leash work through positive reinforcement, you know, the kind with treats or clickers. I've become quite anxious so training would build my confidence. It may take a while to be comfortable in a new home, but in time you'll see that I am very loyal, loving, and affectionate.
