About Goldie

Black Mouth Cur mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Goldie is a gorgeous Black Mouth Cur, approx 55 lbs and 2 to 3 years old. She is a total sweetheart with an excellent disposition. She is relaxed and loves to sunbathe and play in the yard. She can be an independent girl and be content napping in the grass, them come up and show affection and spend time with you as well. She is not super needy as far as attention. She has been very dog friendly in her foster home with dogs of all sizes. She is protective of puppies when her foster has a puppy around. She recently had a puppy who kept going near the pool and she would go get in front of the pup and roll it away from the pool to protect it. It was incredible! Goldie does just fine in the car, she just sits and rides. At home she is not yappy, she very rarely barks. She is very sweet and gentle with people. When strangers come to the house she is shy and sweet. She is pretty adaptable so if someone wanted a homebody she would probably be fine with that, but if someone wanted her to go out and do things she would learn and get comfortable. She is a pretty easy dog from what we have seen, and she stays pretty calm in new situations. At her foster home she stays nearby and doesn't run off, they live on acreage and she is good about staying close. Goldie takes treats gently and has been gentle with children at the foster home. Goldie has been friendly with the cats at her foster home, and she loves to walk out and visit the cows each day as well. Please consider giving Goldie a forever home!
