About Gigli

Gigli was one of 5 dogs that were abandoned in SC during an eviction from a home. I guess her to be about 2 years old. She is very sweet and social. Her ears are cropped but do not stand. She is microchipped , but the chip isn't registered. She has some type of neurologic deficit. She has a slight head tremor and mild ataxia on all four limbs. She doesn't seem to be completely normal mentally. She is heartworm positive and has true heartworm disease. She is getting phase 1 of the treatment currently. She is good with Gump and my other male dogs. I never do same sex introductions at my house. She was loose in a yard with other female dogs, so she would probably be fine. She doesn't seem to be able to take treats from your hand, but finds them readily on the ground. It's possible she sustained some type of head trauma...Just hard to know. I would classify her as special needs....Due to her physical and mental deficits, but also due to the heart damage from her heartworm infestation.
