About Bamboo

Bamboo is an amazingly intelligent dog who easily learns voice & gesture commands. Sometimes he just seems to know what you want him to do without you doing anything! He has been in our family since he was a puppy, December 2015. He has grown up in a house with 5 children, including a 4 and 7 yr. old, and two cats. He does well with other dogs except for his over enthusiasm (he doesn't realize his size). He is loyal and protective of each member of the family. Loves to play! I had a Newfoundland for 13 years who was excellent. Bamboo is amazing. I really can't say enough about him. Tried everything to keep him, and now our family is heartbroken that we have to find him a new home. Details: NO BITE HISTORY Housebroken and responds to basic voice/gesture commands Comfortable around other animals (cats and dogs) Excellent with small children Not food or toy possessive (let's cat eat from his bowl) Loves riding in cars (has also been on interstate trips with family in van) Does not do well being left in crate by himself Walks well on leash, but can get playfully excited about seeing new dogs Suffers from degree of separation anxiety (waits by window, restless, won't eat much) Not destructive or constantly trying to escape outside He is a white cold-weather dog and his skin does not do well with over exposure to direct sunlight outside during the summer. Absolutely loves playing in the snow until exhaustion especially with kids.
