About Parsley

Meet Parsley! Looking for a sweet and independent little girl who is just waiting for her forever family? Then Parsley is your gal! This lovely little baby is an almost 9 week old mixture of Pug and Yorkie (we have her Mom available for adoption) with a beautiful auburn, chestnut brown and black coat that is super soft. We expect that she will lighten up substantially as she gets bigger and that she will be non-shedding. She is about 3 pounds right now and we don't expect her to be bigger than 11 pounds but that is hard to know given we have never seen the dad. Both Parsley and her Mom were given up by her former human because she said she could not afford to have dogs anymore. After finding homes for the litter Parsley was in she decided she would not keep them either. She is in foster care with two pitbulls, a terrier named Waffles and kids. She is playful, a great eater, but also quite independent. Her adoption fee includes her spay (at the appropriate time), current vaccinations, rabies vaccination, deworming, microchip, collar, leash, bed, and starter food. An adoption fee does apply. As we prescreen via email ONLY please tell us a bit about you such as: 1. Your lifestyle, activity level and work schedule. 2. Area you live in and if it is a house or apartment. 3. How many adults, children and pets in the household. 4. Where your pet stays when you are out or at work. 5. Where your pet will sleep. Some notes to consider before applying for Parsley: 1. Parsley is part poodle and will more than likely require ongoing groomings. 2. Please make sure you are ready to adopt before coming to see our adoptable dogs. We are a foster based rescue and do not have the space to hold dogs for a couple of weeks while you vacation or make your way to California to come and adopt. We will adopt out of state but ONLY if the potential adopter comes here to adopt in person and that is after a screening by Skype. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS EVER. 3. We are often inundated with emails about our adoptable dogs and try as we might to make everyone happy it is nearly impossible with only one dog and sometimes up to 50 potential families. The more information you provide in your email to us the quicker we will get back to you. If you have written to us before about a particular dog and did not receive a response please do try again. Every dog has different home requirements that we search for so sometimes you are the right fit for the dog we are trying to place.
