Courtesy Posting: URGENT - KERN COUNTY- LAKE ISABELLA- ADORABLE YOUNG GOLDEN RETRIEVER LOOKING MIX NEEDS A GOOD HOME, VERY FRIENDLY, MISLABELED AS A CHOW/SHEP ID#A1110668 Lake Isabella Shelter, Lake Isabella, CA Skipper is very sweet and very friendly per Kimberly at the shelter. Estimated to be only 2 and about 50 lbs, he likes to run but can also be quite calm. He came in as a stray wandering with another female dog and will still need to be neutered (to be done before he leaves the shelter for an adopter). He was taken in and listed as a Chow and German shepherd but is he a pink tongue and does not have GSD markings either. We believe he is more of a golden retriever mix, maybe also with some aussie in him. He has a beautiful gold coat and fluffy curly tail. He weights about 50 lbs. We have video we can share, he seems to know commands. This shelter is remote and very small and almost full. We are desperately looking for an adopter, or even foster we can refer to a rescue that can possibly help save him. His adoption fee is $70 which includes his neuter, it is $15 more if you live in Kern County and thus need a license.
