ABANDONED SENIOR BORDER COLLIE FACES EUTHANASIA MALE - ID#A4285843 Neutered male, tricolor Border Collie mix, perhaps some Rottie/Shepherd mix as well. At about 12 years old, he has been at the shelter since July 6, 2019. This sweet old gentleman was found by a caring stranger who stated he was wandering around the neighborhood. He was friendly with family and his own dog as well, and is very well behaved. We scanned for a chip, but found none, and nobody has come looking for him. He has very poor eyesight, and seems well taken of, although his nails were overgrown. His teeth are very worn down. He was shy in the kennel, but allowed handler to leash and remove; walked well and allowed handling. Soft entrance into the dog yard with appropriate greetings. Calm and social with the other dogs. We are hoping someone will come forward and give this sweet old guy and nice comfy, loving home to live out his golden years. He does not seem to have any real medical issues other than poor eyesight, but a visit to your family vet would verify that. This poor guy doesn't stand much of a chance of getting adopted and will most likely face euthanasia very soon. The shelter is pretty full, and room is needed for incoming dogs.
