About Pluto

PLUTO is a very loving and affectionate boy looking for a human companion(s) to share his life. He is 2 years old and is not a needy guy, but would enjoy being the center of your world. Will sit by your feet while you work and would love to hang out on the couch with you for a movie. Housetrained, rides great in the car, and sleeps thru the night on his own doggie bed. Walks well on leash and enjoys long and short walks. Loves to be pet and have his neck scratched. Knows basic commands 'sit, stay, no, crate' and comes when you call his name. A calm, quiet home where his owner is home most of the time would be best. Due to his previous owner's mistreatment, Pluto has a strong fear of abandonment. He has gone thru seven weeks of training and the trainer is willing to give his adopter a free training session and support to help set you both up for success. Pluto will protect you and his home and chase all the pesky squirrels from your yard. Dog friendly, but does not enjoy dog parks and would like to be the only dog in your life. No cats - they are way too fun to chase. A home with no children is recommended. Pluto is not high needs, he just needs specific things to be happiest in his forever home. Proper introductions to new people is important for Pluto to feel safe. Foster mom would be happy to explain. Needs to be crated when you leave for short periods of time, until fully comfortable. He is 54 lbs. neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, including rabies,dewormed, heartworm negative and on preventative. His foster mom would be happy to talk with you about adopting him.
