About Dora

Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

D is for darling, delightful and DORA! I'm a 2 years old Chesapeake Bay Retriever and 45lbs and I'm as sweet as they come. I had three beautiful puppies a few months ago, and now I'm ready for a human family of my own. I've had a bit of a rough start to life. Some mean person shot a pellet into my right hip! They tell me it was dislocated, but I don't know what that means. It sure doesn't stop me from running around and playing! The vet said it has healed by forming a new joint, and it does not cause me any pain or limit my mobility. Despite this mistreatment, I love people and I make friends very quickly. Also, I'm FAST! I love to run around the yard and play with my foster brothers. There are 2 cats in my foster home, and I like to sniff them every once in a while. My foster family is very proud to say that I haven't had even one accident in the house. They put me in a crate at first, but they soon discovered that I'm an angel and don't get into any trouble. I sleep all night in my bed and don't make a peep. They think I'm aDORAble and I hope you do, too! Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed. Please consider becoming a foster home while you search for your new best friend. We need foster homes - pounds are overflowing with puppies and adult dogs that are at-risk and need help. We can only rescue as many as we have foster home commitments. Fostering is a rewarding experience for your family.
