About Debbie

Lab / Chesapeake Bay Retriever
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Female

Debbie 15 weeks Lab/retriever mix Debbie is a beautiful 15 week old lab mix who is playful, affectionate and likes to be cuddled. She is timid with strangers at first but warms up to people with patience. She is great with children but especially toddlers. Debbie has gotten very comfortable with our family dog and was very friendly with other dogs at the vet office. She learns how to deal with new situations following the lead of our dog and would love another dog in her home. Potty training is coming along very well. She is learning to sit and comes when called. Debbie understands no when told to stop chewing. We're working on walking on a leash but Debbie would definitely love a fenced yard. She sleeps in her crate and barks when she wakes up to let you know she has to go outside to go potty. Debbie goes in her crate to relax during the day. She enjoys bringing every dog toy in the house into her crate. Debbie is looking for a family who will help her thrive as she encounters new situation. . She is a sweetheart and will make a family very happy! Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies. Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a 'teen' or adult dog. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed.
