About Harper

Hello folks. I'm sorry to say that my story, while sad like others here at Safe Place, is also short. I lost my dad to lung cancer recently. Safe Place only knew that I was a girl because I am what they call a tortoiseshell cat. 'Torties' are almost exclusively female. A lady who was considering adopting me thought I looked more like a 'Harper' so that's how I got my new name! They think I am about 4 years old. I have been spayed and have my vaccines and am in excellent health. I'm very scared right now and shy but I am also very friendly. I know in time I'll come out of my (tortoise) shell. I weigh about 10 1/2 pounds so am an average sized cat. I'll be waiting here at Safe Place for you to come meet me.
