About Bandita

OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. Hola y'all! I am BANDITA, the best 'lil bandit in town! I heard these bio posts are like modern day 'Wanted' posters, so here is what you should know to try to catch me! First off, I am SO tough! I am SO mighty! Life was pretty rough back in the day, I watched my brother get run down right in front of me, and have been living the life of a hardened outlaw ever since. I spend my day s constantly on the run, zooming around the backyard, playing tug-a-war, swimming and swindling my foster momma (aka the sheriff) out of as many potty-training treats as possible. I LIVE for the chase. I'll ambush you, steal from you and giggle and do somersaults while you chase me! When they inevitably film a Western about me, I will not need a stunt double! I LOVE other dogs and will definitely need an active forever family with another doggie sidekick or two that have a lot of energy (solid wrestling skills and patience to be kissed hundreds of times a day a plus). After sundown, I settle down to gnaw on my delicious bone, (I'm still teething!) kick off my boots and the sheriff puts me behind bars. She calls it my bed/kennel, but she can't outsmart me! (I'm BANDITA!) We've been negotiating this sentence, and now I'm cool with this nighttime captivity, as long as I can see the sheriff and have a minimum of 10 stuffed animals to cuddle with, errr...I mean fellow prisoners to swap awesome bandit tales all night with! I sleep in my kennel all night without any accidents. I've learned real good how to come when I'm called and how to sit (especially for treats). I'll bark and sit by the door when I need to go outside or come inside. I almost have all my shots, and will be rolling into the adoption center soon, so y'all better watch out! 'Cause my foster family says I'm just the baddest 'lil bandita, especially when it comes to stealing hearts! Bandita is a female blue heeler/shepherd/Collie mix with an estimated DOB 4/1/19. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
