My name is Slater. I am a 3 year old Siberian Husky with a unique story. Let me tell you about me. Around a year ago I found myself at the shelter with a wound on my genitalia. It was so bad, that the shelter sent a emergency rescue email to see who could save me. Within hours, I was rescued by Husky Haven of Fl and taken to the vet for immediate care. After examination, the vet said they needed to amputate my genitalia because it was almost completely lacerated. It was scary, but I trusted them. The vet said they would reconstruct it like a female genitalia, that I would have no long term effects, and that I would be able to live my life normally. Guess what, that was almost a year ago and I am perfectly fine. You wouldn't even know if I didn't tell you, but I think it's pretty remarkable because it saved my life. I was later adopted to a family and they had a corgi and I did really well. My owner needed to move and for reasons I will never understand, she didn't take me with her. So here I am back looking for my forever home. I am such a good boy that I don't understand why this happened to me. I know how to do some tricks, like sit and shake, I LOVE riding in the car, I love playing with rope toys, and I even bring the rope toy back. When you are watching t.v. I like to sit next to you and put my head on your shoulder. I am a cuddle buddy. I am house broken and crate trained, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
