About Rex

Rex was rescued from a county shelter. He was to be euthanized. He was in the shelter for over 3 months. He was a stray and obviously not well socialized as was a hunting dog. He was malnourished when picked up. He has been in my home for 6 weeks. I have 8 other dogs and he does ok with them. Playing with some. He's a little fearful of men but not all men. Don't know how he is with kids. He should be in a home where he can be focused on for training. He is not house broken. He will go in a crate. He has one issue that if he is in a deep sleep and awaken suddenly he gets frightened and starts growling. He has never lunged or has bitten anyone or animal. But he needs work in this area. Otherwise his personality is loving friendly and low energy. He loves to eat. He has learned to play with toys. I think he could be a great pet if someone could give the time to work with him. With all my other dogs I don't have the time he deserves. I did not plan on keeping him. I just didn't want him euthanized. He's totally vetted and HW negative
