About Blackie

Hello my name is Blackie. I was pulled from the Harris County Animal Shelter in Houston TX on my last day to live. I was left at the shelter to die and nobody would take me because I am HW positive but that was only part of my story. I was also a Hurricane Harvey survivor and was just a pup then. My rescue pulled me and now I'm in a foster home in TX until I leave on transport on 7/26/19 and arrive in NC on 7/28/19. I have been take to the vet and have been started on 30 days of doxy and will also take a preventative each month for 6 months. This is the safest HW treatment now and its called the moxi-doxy treatment plan. I need to be spayed but I can't go under anthesia until I am done with my treatment but my rescue will pay for my spay and will also purchase my monthly meds until I am HW negative. Please don't let this scare you away from me because heart worms is not contagious. I have been through a lot to only be 1 yr 10 months old. I am 52 pounds and a loving girl. I love to play with my dog friends and the little kids in my foster home. I also love water and have had fun in the kiddie pool. If you can give me a loving foster to adopt home or a permanent home please contact my rescue immediately. I am house broken and have no accidents in the home.
