About Peyton

Meet Peyton ! Peyton is a female chihuahua mix that is about 2 years old and 12 lbs. Peyton has been with us now since October ! Peyton was dumped in a high kill shelter and was on the list to be euthanized. We couldn't understand why but only seeing a picture of her face didn't tell us much. Peyton went to the animal hospital where she was found to be pregnant and heartworm positive. She came to us and had a litter of 3 beautiful puppies. Peyton wasn't just a mom- she was a super mom ! Like she never left those babies for a minute and has actually tried to help out some of our younger moms by playing auntie to the puppies. Peyton successfully underwent heartworm treatment and now is getting spayed Monday ! Peyton is used to living in a caring home now and sleeps through the night no problem. She is starting housetraining bc she has been really busy in her time with us. Peyton loves food and is a bit chunky now- from all the meds she had to take. She would love a comfy home with not more than one other dog, she likes to be the center of attention. Peyton loves to snuggle and watch tv with her family ! She is good when her family is at work and can be trusted to roam the house. She truly truly will be missed as everyone loves her in the rescue !!
