Hello! I am Mazie, the puppy of your dreams. Truly! I am 5 months old and super sweet. I'm predominantly dachshund but it is believed my other half is beagle or terrier. I am a petite 12 pounds and not expected to get much bigger. As you can see, I am super cute. My looks match my personality. I love to snuggle and just be by you. I make a very cute sighing-type noise when I fall asleep. The most important thing for me is your loving attention which I reward with tail wags and gentle licks. I do have energy and like to run but it's not that super crazy puppy energy. I am GREAT with kids, adults, and other animals. I love to meet new dogs on my walks. If I don't know you, I might be a touch nervous at first, but I NEVER bite or lash out. It's not my nature. Once I know you, I AM YOURS! I'd be great with anyone really. I do need walks and am learning to potty train so will need help there. Everyone that walks by stops to tell me how cute I am! My favorite thing of all time is belly rubs and snuggling up to you while you watch TV. I like to hide under the bed for some alone time. My fosters would keep me if they could! They say I am the best dog ever. I'm a good eater. I have good energy and am an old soul. Take me home. You won't regret it. I'm really everything you expect a good puppy to be! Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies. Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a 'teen' or adult dog. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping.
