About Heidi

OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: Due to the Coronavirus we are suspending any out of state adoptions until further notice. My name is Heidi. I followed my foster mom home on a walk, even though she ignored me the whole way. I am friendly and affectionate. I have been a Momma dog, probably several times in my 3 years, and am a natural at nurturing. I try to take care of creatures big and small, including my humans. I will come check on my foster folks to be sure that they're okay if they spend too long sleeping or relaxing in the bath. I nuzzle toads from the sidewalk into the grass, and nap alongside my Bichon buddy who stays at my foster home 3 days a week. I am very smart. I stand in front of the television to watch when there are dogs in the show. I have learned to sit and to play with my squeaky frog toy. I am also learning to fetch a tennis ball in exchange for tummy rubs. Of course, I am house-trained, and have not had any accidents. I will nuzzle you if I need to go outside. I am content to sit at your feet while you read but also love to romp in the yard or go on walks with you. When we walk, I will ignore children on bikes and friendly neighbors, but may try to chase a cat or squirrel up a tree. I would love to be your loyal companion. Heidi is a Female German Shepherd that we estimate to be around 3 years old and weighs 57 lbs. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
