About Mickey

Hi, I'm Mickey and I'm a big ole lovable meathead of a guy!! I play well with other dogs, and I even get along with cats! I'm good with children who aren't too small, since I have a strong tail that loves to wag!! I'm very loyal and protective of my people. I patrol my space and will definitely let you know if something isn't right. I once alerted my foster family to an electrical fire in the laundry room! So, I'm a bit of a superhero. I should probably have a cape. Because I am so protective, I am wary of strangers. No one is getting past this guy without your approval! So it's important that my new family knows that I need a proper introduction to new people. Once you let me know that a person is part of our pack, then I will love them as much as I love you - especially if they give me massages and treats! I go into my crate with no issues. I can sleep in my crate, but I would rather sleep in the bed with my people! I can stay out of my crate and in a room by my self for a few hours, before I get too bored. I love my chew bones and my soft toys. I make them last a really long time - I don't destroy them. I am VERY treat motivated ! I do well in a fenced yard, and won't try to dig out or jump over. I walk well on a leash. I mostly want to do barrel rolls in the grass - it feels soooo good! I also love playing in water - so fun! I am neutered and have all of my vaccines, heartworm and flea prevention, and microchip.
