About Hudson

Great Dane
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Male

Handsome Hudson is a gorgeous pure Great Dane pup currently weighing about 35 lbs. I will tell you up front he is spoiled and I take full responsibility for that! See, Hudson had to fight for his life twice already in his short 4.5 months. First he beat parvo and then he had to fight for his life after being at the vet being treated for parvo where he was so full of fluids he was basically drowning. If you have been on our Facebook page, you would have seen his story and recovery. So needless to say, I spoiled this boy who was skin and bones after beating parvo to get him where he is today. Hudson is up to date on his shots, on heat worm prevention and flea and tick protection. He is also micro chipped. Please read the WHOLE profile to understand how the adoption will work for him and what the requirements will be. There will be no deviance from the requirements. The adoption fee is $400. There is also a $200 refundable deposit once proof of neuter has been provided. So $600 due at time of adoption, with $200 refundable once the neuter contract is fulfilled and we have received the necessary documents as proof. Since he is an extra large breed, we are going to adopt him with a neuter contract. This contract must be fulfilled by April 30, 2020 at the latest. We want him to be at least a year old before he is neutered due to the breed and the growth and hormones that need that extra time. The adoption contract will be notarized. If you don't fulfill the contract in the appropriate amount of time given, I come and take back Hudson for breach of contract. Period. No extensions, no something came up and we haven't had a chance. Must be done by date on contract and proof must be submitted within 7 days of her surgery to us showing it is has been done. All current pets must be up to date on vaccinations and be spayed or neutered. Now that that is out of the way. Let me tell you about Hudson He is a sweet and funny. He does well with the other dogs that he has grown up with here in his foster, but may need a bit of time and space to warm up to new bigger dogs that he is not familiar with. He places himself on the couch or on my lap every night regardless of who may already be there. He also likes to lay on the back of the couch. A copy of the Wisdom DNA will be given to each adoptive family. We are working on potty training, but that is still a work in progress at this time. We are requiring a fully physically fenced yard (5-6' minimum height) and breed experience. This is not the type of dog for the first time dog owners. He is going to be over 100 lbs when fully grown so you must have the space a dog that size will require. This is not negotiable. No small children under 8. These pups are all legs and zero co-ordination still and they are at a greater risk of unintentionally running over smaller children. No apartments or town houses either please. I am looking to only adopt them within a 2 hour drive radius of Cookeville, TN due to the stipulations of this contract. If you have any questions about the terms of his adoption, please email me directly at [email protected]. We take the placement of Hudson and his sister Cordelia very seriously and we are looking for the best forever home for them. If you think you are that home, please visit our website at www.safehaventn.com and fill out our adoption application.
