I NEED HELP...! About a year ago I rescued a dog off of death row...Her time was up and I thought I could save her. She is about 5-6 yrs old, part Peomeranian part Chihuahua, very pretty (long hair) (15 lbs. Spayed, up to date with shots and in general good health...I think she has some allergies as she gets weepy eyes now and then). When I rescued her she was going to be put down because she was snarling and snapping at everyone. I thought I could rehab her and find her a home. I never intended on keeping her. I had two behavioral trainers look at her and they both said that her behavior was learned and therefore it could be unlearned. I have three other dogs and I have worked with her consistently. She has gotten much better but still has issues with people and dogs, including my own. Although not often, she will just start attacking my big dogs back legs and butt. My other dogs are suffering from her behavior. I am having to put so much attention towards her that I can't spend the time I should with them. She is extremely smart-she knows how to sit. She is potty trained and lets out a little bark when she needs to go out so she doesn't make a mess in the house. She is quiet as well. Doesn't bark in the house. She can be quite the snuggler as well. I really feel she would blossom with the right person and the right consistent training. Although she is ok with my dogs, I truly believe she would be best as an only dog. I do not think she would do well with children in the household...Too much fast activity gets her anxious. She needs a calm environment with not a lot of visitors. Is there anyone that can give me advise I can't afford trainers at this point and I am at my whits end. Is there anyone that might be willing to train her or take her that has experience with a dog that has challenges. Please contact me I really need some help..I would like to save her life...but I really think she needs a home where she is the only dog and also with someone willing to put in the work to continue with her training. She can be soooo sweet and loving...and a lot of fun too. She loves running around the house and playing with her stuffed animals. She has a good heart...she just needs an attitude adjustment. Please someone help. Thanks.
