About SHREK

Meet Shrek. He is one of the most eligible bachelors in the Columbia River region. You can see for yourself that he is handsome and able to share his home with other dogs, so let us tell you what you can't see - how exactly he came to be hanging out with those other dogs and why he needs a home. Shrek ended up homeless and in a shelter in Ventura County, CA but, after a short time he found a home up in Portland and all seemed to be right in his world again. Two years went by and Shrek's new family fell on hard times, had to move, panicked and dropped him at a shelter. This sensitive boy - who had lost TWO homes - is ready to leave his past behind and find his truly forever home. He would do really well with another dog who is mature, calm, confident and able to be a friend for Shrek. We are only looking for homes in the Columbia River area to allow for play dates and visits to transition slowly and gently into his new home. Shrek is the definition of resilient and forgiving. He loves people and is great with kids. He is very treat motivated and super eager to please. He would be happiest with the right doggie friend and humans who are not gone full-time.
