About Emmett

Posted 7/8/19, and pictures taken on 6/26/19. Emmett was found starving in Morgan City, Louisiana on 4/2/19. He was taken to a vet there, estimated to be around 6 to 8 years old, heartworm positive, not neutered, and they think his breed is German Shepherd and Husky mix. When in Flint, TX, he went to the South Tyler Animal Clinic, was estimated to be 10 to 12 years old, and at one of the vet clinics it was discovered that he has Vestibular Syndrome. I was told that he was checked out, and there is nothing that can be done for the syndrome. His head tilts, and he sometimes walks in circles a bit, but he follows us everywhere we go when we are outside. He is also house trained, vaccinated, and was given a Bravecto pill. The couple that found him were facing not being able to care for him. The husband works away from home, and the wife needed to leave on 6/28/19 to care for a family member in Louisiana for awhile. They were calling him Buddy, but I have that name several times in my database, so I found the name Emmett. Anyone wanting to give this 50 pound extremely sweet senior dog a home, please send an e-mail to [email protected]. His adoption fee is $25. If I decide to go ahead with his neuter at his age, then his adoption fee will be $55.
