About Brizzo

Adoption Fee: $175
Border Collie mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Please read entire description. Brizzo's adoption fee is $175. Please, only apply if you have a physical privacy fenced yard. Brizzo will need an active dog buddy in the home. If interested please apply at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. Miss Brizzo is still looking for a home. We get quite a lot of interest when we have posted her, but she is in need of a home that has a physically privact fenced yard and an active dog buddy to play with. Brizzo also needs a truly active owner. Brizzo needs additional things more than just the back yard and 'two walks a day' like we have seen on many applications; things like the dog park, doggy day care, jogging, or hiking as well. She would be an excellent candidate for agility training. She is highly food motivated and trainable. Brizzo is just over a year old and weighs 35 pounds. She is a Border Collie mix that was initially found as a stray. She has been in foster and boarding including at Pooch at Play Doggy Day Care. She has done very well in foster. This is how we have learned so much about Brizzo. We know that she has done fine with a cat that may THINK he is a dog. She has done terribly with cats that act like cats and run. Brizzo is FANTASTIC in living situations with other dogs and when there is a fence. She is rather quiet in this setting and doesn't bark. If you put her in an apartment setting; she barks and is too reactive to the sounds around her; so apartments; duplexes, etc are a no go. Brizzo is crate trained and house trained. She sleeps on the floor in a pet bed in the bedroom at night. Sometimes she will snuggle on the bed if allowed. She loves to spend time chewing on antlers and bones. She likes toys as well and knows some basic commands. She walks pretty well on leash and does incredibly well with strangers. She met a lot of Purdue students and other members of the community at an outdoor concert recently. She has no issues with loud noises like the music or storms. Brizzo would likely do just fine with children, but we would recommend no small children. Brizzo is the type of dog that will be like your child and need more time and attention than what you would have to give if you are in the stage of raising little ones right now. We think Brizzo is a really amazing dog. She is well loved in her foster so she is welcome to stay until the perfect fit comes along. Brizzo is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on preventatives. If interested in adopting Brizzo, please complete an adoption application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. Her adoption fee is $175. Please, only apply if you have a FUN, active dog buddy that can keep up with wrestle style play and a physically privacy fenced yard. (No apartments, please!)
